Jacquard Pearlex Powdered Pigments

Pearl Ex creates a metallic look without being a metal. The particles are flat platelets with two surfaces, therefore it lays down beautifully like a thin coating of metal. The different particle sizes produce different looks, from a fine, smooth, pearly luster to a highly metallic sheen.
It is a safe, non-toxic, inert powdered pigment with a neutral pH. It is extremely color fast and stable, it will not tarnish or fade and is therefore ideal for archival applications.
But the most exciting thing about Pearl Ex, besides its beauty, is its incredible flexibility. It can be mixed into any viscous medium and applied to any surface. Mix it into oil, acrylic, gouache, varnish, clay, melted wax and so on. It can also be spread dry on porous surfaces. Use it on clay, glass, metal, wood, paper, fabric, just about anything.
Pearl Ex can be used to create a variety of surface effects: fine metallic sheens, shimmery pearlescents, glittery metallics, gorgeous marblized effects, and a variety of faux finishes such as leather, hammered copper, raku pottery, antique metal, and more.
From rubber stamping & scrapbooking to faux finishing furniture and picture frames, from model cars to real cars, from pottery to jewelry to candle making, Pearl Ex can transform your work with rich, luminous surfaces.
Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments may be the most versatile colors on the planet. They can be added to gutta & waterbased resists, silk screening paints, airbrush inks, textile paints, oil paints, gum arabic, and the list goes on. They may be added to the medium before application or sprinkled, dusted or rubbed on after the medium has been applied
